Briefings in plain English

Live aviation weather, NOTAMs and airport data inside your AI assistant. Ask about your airport in plain English. No decoding required.

Ask like you'd ask a briefer

The Community Aviation MCP connects your assistant to live METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs and airport data. You ask a plain question and get a plain answer, with the raw data still one click away.

What's the status at KJYO?

It's a rough morning at Leesburg. Current conditions are solidly LIFR. You're dealing with fog and a 400 ft ceiling, and the KIAD TAF shows things getting worse before better: visibilities could drop to near zero with light rain through mid-morning, then a gradual lift through the afternoon. There's a 30% chance of embedded thunderstorms between 1900–2200Z. The crane NOTAM has an impact on the departure minimums for Rwy 17 as well as the circling approach minimums.

Example answer

MCP v1: five tools

An early, intentionally limited release. You ask in plain English; the assistant calls the tool it needs and answers from the data.

METARs

Current conditions sourced from aviationweather.gov.

TAFs

Terminal forecasts, with proxy-station fallback when the requested airport does not issue its own.

Short-term forecast

The NWS Area Forecast Discussion for the region.

Active NOTAMs

Current notices sourced from the FAA.

Airport reference data

Frequencies, runways, fuel availability, FBO contacts, and services from the FAA archive.

What v1 does not do

A briefing tool, not a decision maker. You are pilot in command.

No procedure data

No approach plates or procedure numbers. The fabrication risk is real, and we won't expose it until we can ground it against verified sources.

No route reasoning

v1 reports on airports; it does not reason about the airspace between them.

Light personalization

It knows your home airport. It does not know your last flight, review or currency.

What's next

More weather layers (PIREPs, SIGMETs, AIRMETs, winds aloft), then route reasoning and integration with the Community Aviation Knowledge Library.
