"Preparing for the Unexpected" is made available in cooperation with of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, SAFE, where Doug Stewart is a Founding and Charter member. The webinar also a part of the the Mindstar Community Pilot Proficiency Demonstration of which SAFE and EAA are sponsors.
Doug Stewart, the 2004 National Flight Instructor of the Year, is an eight-time Master Certified Flight Instructor, with over 11,000 hours of dual given, a Gold Seal Instructor, and Designated Pilot Examiner. He has presented seminars to thousands of pilots from coast to coast and border to border. His writing has appeared in Vintage Airplane; Flying; Aviation Safety Brief and SAFE - The Magazine. He currently serves on the General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC), and the Airman Certification Standards Work Group (ACSWG).
The online interactive seminar is limited to 50 registrants so that everyone has an opportunity to interact with Doug. This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced aviation educator with over 11,000 hours of dual instruction. And, with more than 14,000 hours of total time he has seen his fair share of unexpected events.
This Webinar Course Includes:
People located in the Washington DC area have the opportunity to fly a scenario course as part of the Mindstar Community Pilot Proficiency Demonstration. This highly realistic simulation using AirspaceVR allows webinar attendees to apply key knowledge elements from the webinars with a simulation scenario related to the topic of loss-of-control. This scenario, "Shenandoah Sortie", is available to fly on commercial flight simulation devices for a limited time at multiple locations in the national capital area. Attendance of both webinars is recommended for a maximum learning experience.
