An interactive Webinar with Rich Stowell
Loss of control remains a special emphasis area for the FAA, while loss-of-control culminating in an inadvertent stall/spin is on the NTSB most wanted list for 2015. Stall/spins account for 12% of general aviation accidents, but upwards of 20-25% of fatal accidents. Over 20% of the fatal stall/spins occur with CFI’s on board!
During this 60-minute presentation you can discover what you need to know to avoid these accident scenarios AND, if you get there... how you can recover!

Society of Aviation and Flight Educators
"Loss of Control & Stall/Spin Awareness" is made available in cooperation of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, SAFE, where Rich Stowell is a founding member.
Rich has conducted more than 300 safety seminars and has appeared on TV and radio programs. In 2000, the International Aerobatic Club named him one of a small handful of Official Spin Doctors, and he was designated the country’s first Master CFI-Aerobatics a year later. Rich currently serves on the Master Instructors, LLC Board of Review and has been a judge for the General Aviation Awards National CFI of the Year. He is a Charter Member of SAFE and a 31-year member of AOPA, EAA, and IAC.
The online interactive seminar is limited to 50 registrants so that everyone has an opportunity to interact with Rich. This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced aviation educator who has performed more than 34,000 spins (with an equal amount of recoveries).
This Webinar Course Includes:
People located in the Washington DC area have the opportunity to fly a scenario course as part of the Mindstar Community Pilot Proficiency Demonstration. This highly realistic simulation using AirspaceVR allows webinar attendees to apply key knowledge elements from the webinars with a simulation scenario related to the topic of loss-of-control.
This scenario, "Shenandoah Sortie", is available to fly on commercial flight simulation devices for a limited time at multiple locations in the national capital area. Attendance of both webinars is recommended for a maximum learning experience.
