"Hot, High and Short"

It's 95 degrees in Leesburg, VA but it still seems like a cool day for a $100 hamburger.  You pick a place you've always wanted to fly into, call a couple of buddies and plan a flight there across the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Your takeoff from the long, wide runway goes smoothly and you set a course for the Windwood Fly-In, but you're actually headed for trouble.

Hot Weather + High Elevation + Short Field: You Try it!

This trip did not end well for the pilot and his passengers but you have the opportunity to improve the outcome.  We've reconstructed the events from that day and input the data for the actual weather, aircraft, and crew into the software of a Redbird full motion simulator.  The course syllabus presents you with all the information you need to plan and fly this scenario.  Test your knowledge and skills.

Community Aviation worked with the subject matter experts at AV-ED Flight School to reconstruct the events that took place that afternoon and create a realistic scenario-based course.  Mindstar Aviation then input the data from the syllabus into the Redbird FMX.
