What would make your work as a flight instructor more rewarding?

We're actively working on solutions.

We're obsessed with flight training because we believe there is enormous room for improvement.  We're developing some exciting products to help us in this cause but before we talk about features we'd like to hear from the front lines.

  • What are your greatest frustrations and pains?
  • What features would make your job easier and more effective?
  • What tools and methods do you currently use?
  • What works and what doesn't?
  • What's your dream solution?
  • And, whatever you want to talk about...

I'd like to learn more about you and your work.  If you can spare a few minutes then let's start with your instructor profile.  Then I'd like to follow up with you with some more specific ideas we have that might help your work as a flight instructor.  Eventually, you could play an important role as an early user of our product features.

Let's start the conversation by sharing something of your background.  If you fill out the instructor profile form I'll get back with you soon.  And, your information stays with us.

Thank you,

A bit on where we're coming from...

  • Flight instructors are underpaid for their knowledge and experience.
  • General aviation plays a vital role in the American economy.
  • We need a large and vibrant GA pilot population in this country.
  • Coaching can be more effective than instructing.
  • Most ground school teaching methods have changed little over the past 75 years.
  • Some aspects of flying are best taught in a simulator.
  • Distance learning tools are ready for prime time.
  • Proficiency should be rewarded.
  • Methods for learners to acquire knowledge and skill are rapidly becoming indistinguishable.
  • The flipped classroom is new again.
  • Virtual-reality is not an oxymoron,
  • But flight-simulation can be.
  • Using the radio is a top fear for student pilots.
