Course lessons feature recordings of Doug sharing the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ of his approach to flying IFR that can only be described as an art form. These videos can be watched from any computer or mobile device with a web browser. Watch them as often as you like.
Each video is supported by content organized as a digital learning page or workbook. Each page contains subject matter relevant to the learning topic. We’ll update the material over time based on community interests. This course never expires.
Course customers are members of a living learning community. Members have access to a private #art-flying-ifr channel on the Community Aviation Slack team as well as the members only Facebook Group. Fellow learners can meet and share their interests, experiences and simulation flight files.
Each lesson includes a veritable library of relevant articles, downloads, and links to sites chosen by Doug and the Community Aviation editorial staff.
We’ve invited friends from the simulation technology community into the course. Featuring the virtual air traffic control services of PilotEdge, flight debriefing by CloudAhoy and simulator tools from Mindstar Aviation.
The course culminates with Doug demonstrating many of his best practices by flying an end-to-end simulation scenario. You then have the opportunity to fly it yourself. Go further and fly the scenario on the PilotEdge network. Record and evaluate your sim flights with CloudAhoy.
