About the EAA Pilot Proficiency Center

The EAA Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC) is a skill-building and gathering area for pilots to increase their knowledge of training tools, hone their abilities, and network with others passionate about aviation.

Centrally located at one the four corners of AirVenture, this area is a focal point for pilots of all skill levels, even complete beginners.  It features an extensive demonstration of best practices for simulation training including scenarios, aircraft control exercises, crosswind techniques and debriefing tools.

The PPC also features a full schedule of Tech Talks.  Topics include crosswind landings, situational awareness, tail wheel tips and tricks, and chart clinics.

Welcome to the PPC

JACK PELTON

EAA CHAIRMAN

I want to personally welcome you to EAA’s Pilot Proficiency Center.  We’re back for another year at AirVenture.  And, we were so pleased with the experience last year that we’ve significantly expanded it. Why?  It’s simple.  We really believe in proficiency because we’ve seen the results.

EAA PROFICIENCY COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN
HARTZELL PROPELLER PRESIDENT

There are reasons why professional pilots fly airplanes better than GA pilots.  They are mentored, they fly a lot, and they train - all the time.  Until recently this regimen has been out of reach for most pilots, but now, for the first time in our century of flight, GA pilots can train like the pros if they want.  But don't stop training after you leave.  Stay proficient at home with the same resources.  We can help you...  Keep Learning!
