IFR SCENARIO #3A

Make It Rain - Approach to MINS

ATC_Icons_copy.png

A lot of things need to happen in short order to complete this scenario.  It's KSNA to KTOA.  You’ll fly a departure clearance right into a vectored approach at Torrance on this 25 mile flight.  Oh, and you’ll be in the clag all the way.  Don’t worry, the PilotEdge controllers will work almost as hard as you do.

Today, it’s raining in not-so-sunny California with low IFR conditions.  On the ground at John Wayne, pick up your clearance by asking for local IFR, Torrance ILS 29R.  Fly the Departure right into vectors to final.  Weather at Zamperini Field is reported as 300 and ¾ vis.   Relax—since this is a sim, the weather is programmed to hold. Just stay on LOC and slope and that 150’ X 5000’ runway is going to look pretty sweet when you break out.
